Metz - France
Above left is the Joan of Arcs Square and Church, right is me in front of the old German Gate of the Middle Ages. Below left is the Palace of the Military Governor (nice for some) and right is the Saint Stephens Cathedral: The Nave is amongst the highest of Europes and the most important collection of stained glasses in the world (6500m2).
Metz is quite a special town with history dating back 3000 yrs, and multiple European influences, since the age of bronze, a roman city, German Holy Roman Empire, Kingdom of France .......
