Then sunset over my campsite!!

Bologna and Modena

Well after seeing the sites of Rimini, I trained to Bologna (McDonald city and they even sell beer there!!!) , stayed overnight, then rode to Modena where I also stayed overnight. Unfortunately, it was Easter Sunday and Easter Monday and not alot was happening. Apparently in Italy, these days are days where everyone stays at home and then goes on a picnic so the streets were pretty bare. Both places could of been done in an afternoon. However, another ticked off the list.

People Shots

Patricia here spoke with me all the way on the train Rimini to Bologna and pointed out all the fruit trees.

This 'train porter' gave me a ticket for not having purchased a bici supplement $3.50. The ticket cost me $3.00. He then let me cross the train tracks with him. Normally, you need to go down the stairs (or lift if there is one) and back up. Nice Man.

DIRE STRAITS

Okay, hope you are all okay with this. I have just managed to wipe my odometer reading!! Last updated yesterday on the blog (lucky for us eh!).

SO ...........

It does not include the 55 kms from today and will now start back at 0 km. Bummer eh. So if everyone is happy (and I'm not giving you a choice!), we will need to keep a running record ...
670.4 + 55 = 725.4 kms thus far plus ........

SORRY!

Rimini

06 April 79kms
Ravenaa to Rimini
Beaut day, 9 degree to 20 degree
About 40km out of Rimini I hit the Adriatic Coast and just bicycled down. About 20km out of Rimini starts the 'touristy' Rimini - reminded me of Miami, Florida broadwalk, restaurant followed by restaurant followed by hotel and hotels and tourist gimicky shops!!!!! Rimini is great, tourist town, with a Frisbee International Competition happening!!!!! Brilliant hostel, met Americans, Aussies, Canadians!!!!! This place is all tourists, it must shut down in Winter!

Finally had day off on 07 April so what do I do ....
Went for a 30min run (man that hurt as done no running for a while, luckily it was flat!) and then went for a 55km bike ride up towards San Marino!!!

What does this sign mean?

Not even the locals can tell me if this sign means I CANNOT bike on this road?????

However, I have!!!!!!

When will one get apprehended?

Rimini to Wellington

Maybe the transport option I should of chosen!!!

This was a traghetto crossing from Porto Corsini, where I met my friend who couldn't speak English, but from the gist of it, I got the idea that he had crossed the canal, BUT forgotten his bike!!!!
